Black Hawk Basic is a four-day summer camp for rising 9th graders, introducing them to NJROTC and teams like CyberPatriot, Academics, Air Rifle, Drill/Color Guard, Orienteering, and PT(Physical Training). They also meet and get to know new cadets, current cadets, and the instructors.

On The final day of Black Hawk Basic the rising NS1's competed against each other in their platoons
They competed in AirRifle Accuracy and Balloon Pop, Academics Brain Brawl and a Written Test, Drill Knockout, and Finally PT in a game of Tug-o-War.
